The first generation of Audi Coupe was introduced in 1980. The first generation Coupe was based on the B2 Audi 80 and offered as a more economic alternative to the Audi Quattro. This new model was powered by a range of inline four and inline five engines. Two notable Coupe variants were the Coupe Quattro, and the Coupe GT.
